From high up, Jueyun Karst—already seldom visited—was veiled in cloud and mist; even looking down you could not tell how deep that sea of cloud ran. From the depths of the stone forests came distant roars of I know not whether fiends or divine beasts, enough to make one's hair stand on end. Maybe I can dig up some fine amber or precious herbs here? Quite a few poor brothers from the village made their homes and livings in Liyue by selling medicinals—I refuse to believe I have no such luck.

In the evening a heavy rain fell; the rock face was too slick to climb. My rope and climbing pickaxe were lost somewhere I don't know. Strange—I shouldn't be this careless. It must be the fiends of these mountains playing tricks! Maybe foxes…

After four or five hard days I finally gathered some decent herbs; time to prepare for the return. I had wanted to explore more, but this cursed place is too frightening. As soon as night falls, shadows in the woods always seem to follow behind me, and the roars of who-knows-what fiends from the peaks all around draw nearer and nearer.

On the way down the mountain I picked up an old wine bottle. I washed it in a spring; its condition is not bad. If I take it home for Dongdong to play with, he is sure to be happy. I'll just say it was a treasure jug an adeptus gave me.
