Lately, thanks to the new-author recruitment plan and the booming "This Novel Is Amazing" grand prize, many rising writers from other nations have also offered distinctive works. Here this chief editor especially thanks authors of every land for supporting Inazuma's light-novel cause, and Lord Hiiragi Shinsuke of the Kanjou Commission for looking the other way—so that so many excellent works could meet Inazuma's readers in time.

As all know, before today's Sakoku Decree, Inazuma too had not a few foreign swordsmen active. One named Harmost was among them. He came from the distant rainforest nation of Sumeru, yet practiced chivalry in the land of lightning. His story once sank beneath Her Excellency the Shogun's unchanging golden age, but now, retold by a rising author—my friend Pursina—it has regained vivid life.
