The Hymn of Khvarena

Sumeru Translated text; in-game wording takes precedence

A song said to have been passed down by a lost desert order; none know who first wrote it down.

O Nagarjuna,

By the myriad Khvarena I shelter the eternal earth.

When the filth of the abyss stained the primordial land,

the radiant spirits that aided the Lord of Wisdom scattered into a myriad kinds.

I crossed the river of grief against the current and drank the sweet dew.

I opened a path for the good spirits, that the merciful light of wisdom might shine on every quarter.

O Nagarjuna,

By the myriad Khvarena I nourish the good spirits of the flower sea.

Behold the spirits revealed by Khvarena, last descendants of the god of grass and wood.

Behold the warriors who survived a hundred battles, foes of the host of daevas.

Even the black gloom beyond the sky cannot corrode their forms.

O Nagarjuna,

By the myriad Khvarena I have ferried the dead of the foul earth.

I washed the sins of the guiltless, that they might go to a pure land without sorrow.

In the chakras of the earth are stored the karmic seeds from which all arises.

The brief withering and flourishing of the world are but illusions of those seeds coming forth.

O Nagarjuna,

By the myriad Khvarena I have cleansed the abysses of the high heavens.

The filth overflowing from the deep has at last receded,

and the remnants of the Tahar also submit to the true Law.

A thousand songs rise together; the rain of tears rests for a while.

O Nagarjuna, should the dark tide return and the black abyss come again,

then sing this hymn, and offer prayer to the invincible Khvarena.

The eternal Khvarena will guide our rising path.
